The news, which comes less than three months after the acquisition of data security solutions provider Ambeo, signals Embarcadero's swift move forward in the $214.7 million1 data security market. This is the first release of the company's industry-leading data security solution under the rebranded name.

The company also announced that industry veteran, Gregory Davoll, will head product strategy for data security. Davoll, who most recently oversaw NetIQ's security and vulnerability management products, has nearly two decades of experience in enterprise software at leading companies including IBM, Sybase, and BMC Software.
