Shanghai Telecom Co., Ltd. 114 Phone Number Service Center(
Shanghai Telecom 114 ) takes the responsibility for phone
number service in Shanghai. It is running 7 X 24 X 365.
With the rapid growth of inbound calls and diversified services,
Shanghai Telecom decided to perform a thorough upgrading
to the supporting IT platform for 114 service to meet the
future requirements.
Working with Shanghai Ideal Information Industry (Group)
Co., Ltd. and HP, GTi help deliver the whole upgrading process.
Due to its non-disruptive running mode and strict servicec
quality requirement, the upgrading procedure should not
only take care the business continuous and quality control,
but also lower the project risk to minimal.
GTi designed the Oracle database architecture for the whole
project, migrated data from old platform to newly built
one and fulfil the adjust monitoring phase after the upgrading.The
upgrading practice covered Digital Unix, OpenVMS with different
versions, dealt with Oracle OPS, RAC and Advanced Replication
technology.
