GTi Guard is running on ORACLE databases. It is responsible to collect status information about operating system and database regularly. There will be a data file per day which will be sent to GTi later for further analysis and reporting.

To install GTi Guard on the target Oracle, the database versions may start from Oracle8.1.6.
For UNIX or Linux operating systems, no restriction for specific versions.
For OpenVMS or Windows platforms, we only provide reports on database alone.

GTi Guard is an ultralight weight system. It collects in timed mode which can be adjusted by our clients. Comparing with system management products on the market, there is no essential difference in terms of resource requirement. To make it more precisely, it will be definitely under 1% overhead on the system on default hourly period.

GTi Guard is easy to install and has no effects on the system security. All necessary is limited permits to run several system maintenance commands at OS level and data dictionary access right in Oracle database. No access to application and data. Everything is under our clients control.
